Surrogate Partner Therapy (SPT)

The triadic model: client, therapist, and surrogate partner

As a certified surrogate partner, I work within a therapeutic triad to help clients explore relational and physical intimacy in a structured, experiential way. With the support of a clinician, sessions focus on building the clients capacity for vulnerability, communication, touch, and authentic connection. This work may include verbal processing, embodiment practices, non-sexual touch, or sensual exploration based on the clients therapeutic goals.

SPT is ideal for:

  • Adults with little or no intimate or sexual experience

  • Those healing from touch-related trauma

  • People with disabilities or social anxiety around dating/intimacy

  • Clients wanting experiential learning around closeness, trust, and consent

All Surrogate Partner Therapy clients must be working with a clinician.
